Lynx

Sketch on BFK with colored pencils, 5” x 5”

Learning to use Adobe, a scanner and printer in addition to getting the work done. Hence, the cutout of the Lynx when I was attempting to remember my CS5 class and clean up the sketch done on a triangle of folded paper.

Blues Man

My step-brother asked for a painting of mine for the past couple of decades. We were going to meet a few years ago and he reminded me again. Since he plays blues with an east coast band, I thought the monochromatic blues would be appropriate. This is the three hour oil sketch just before we left. The painting was still wet when delivered. He was happy to have the work and let it be a lesson.  If you want a painting, you may end up being the subject.

Carving stone

January 1991
The happiest I’ve ever been with an art project. Carving stone. The sculpture was later juried into a show and I still have this first effort. More to come.
