Crystal Springs
I’m learning the value of visiting a place repeatedly, sitting in the environment and coming to understand the energy, light and space of a painting site. In addition, I may learn to spell crystal properly by the time I’m done.

Blues Man
My step-brother asked for a painting of mine for the past couple of decades. We were going to meet a few years ago and he reminded me again. Since he plays blues with an east coast band, I thought the monochromatic blues would be appropriate. This is the three hour oil sketch just before we left. The painting was still wet when delivered. He was happy to have the work and let it be a lesson. If you want a painting, you may end up being the subject.
