I’ve felt inadequate to collage since gluing construction paper shapes as a kid. Questions open up all areas of art making. After posing a question, I’m astounded to be making and enjoying collage pieces. There are artist’s who have raised collage to a stunning art form. I’ve been working these little pieces as a warmup to larger studio works and I’m happy these answers show up.

This little piece started life as a throwaway palette scraping. At the end of the day, I rub the excess oil paint from brushes onto a canvas before submerging the bristles in safflower oil to reduce environmental impact. When the palette needs cleani

Dogged determination triumphs over evil algorithms! Posting works again! Finishing up work started decades ago. The watercolor done waiting in a hotel room at Christmas 30 years ago. This image has morphed through block prints and the last one oil. T
Even when I delete the image it returns. Message “can’t refresh” on the screen where the post is entered. Anybody know what has taken over? How to fix it?
The trees are singing today and the music is exquisite. The Maples trill a soprano melody and the Evergreens blend a tenor counterpoint. So thankful.  #roxannecolyerart #trees #autumn
